Couldn't have wished for a nicer company to deal with. We did interview various local carers for my mum and dad, some of which were very expensive and all whistles and bells but Crown Home Care came across more personal and we gave them a go. We were so pleased with the help that they offered my parents and they would always mention anything that they were concerned about with regards mum and dad. Unfortunately mum has dementia and has now moved into a home and we no longer need them anymore but we would highly recommend them. Thank you again to all the Managers and all of the carers that came to the house..thank you x

I have been working as a full-time carer with Crown Home Care for the past 3 years. During my time here, I've had the opportunity to work with different clients and provide personalized care. The company has a very supportive and caring environment. The management is always available when I have questions or need guidance, and my colleagues are friendly and helpful. There's a real sense of teamwork. Crown Home Care offers comprehensive training programs, which made me feel confident in my role as a carer. They also encourage continuous learning, which helps me improve my skills regularly. The work-life balance at Crown Home Care is great. I have been in care working in the community for 39 years. I currently work for Crown Home Care Ltd, They are the best care company I have ever worked for, they are considerate when scheduling work thinking of the carers and their clients. Their training is spot on, making sure we comply with CQC. They are very keen on promoting the well being of their staff. The management and office staff are very supportive and always available with any help required. I would highly recommend this company to work for and to be in receipt of care, as they truely care.

Crown have been caring for my mother for the last two months. All the careers have been kind and considerate. My mother is an Alzheimer's sufferer and they have been excellent with both the good and the bad days. They visit once a day to get my mother up, washed , and dressed and she has grown to value their help and engagement. Thank you Crown.

Crown have been providing care to our 93 year old relative who lives alone for 2 years. They have the most lovely and caring staff. They are able to adapt and change as needed. After the death of his wife (my mother) in 2021, my 91-year-old father had been living at home and looking after himself for two years. He was (and remains) mentally very sharp and physically strong for his age. He was fiercely independent and opposed to any form of care or support. In late October 2023 he was admitted to hospital after collapsing at home. The hospital doctors immediately diagnosed the cause to be incorrectly managed Type 2 diabetes. He was very weak, unable to walk without assistance, unwilling to eat and becoming delirious. The hospital doctors’ view was that if he recovered, which was not certain, he would be unable to continue to care for himself alone. I contacted Crown Home Care on Monday the day after he was admitted to hospital. The very next day Crown’s Live-In Care Manager met me at my father’s house to conduct a recce of the property and to discuss his care needs in detail. By Wednesday Crown had prepared a full care plan and a list of candidate profiles, and by Thursday – just three days after my initial contact and with my father still in hospital – Barbara arrived in the role of Carer-Companion, two days before my father’s return home from hospital. By the time my father was discharged from hospital, Barbara had cleaned the house from top to bottom, checked the entire house and garden for hazards, weeded and hosed down the patio, re- stocked the kitchen, washed all the bedding, repaired two vacuum cleaners, introduced herself to the neighbours, and was ready for action. For the first couple of months, Crown’s management team either visited the house or called me at least twice a week to make sure things were going well (they invariably were). Ten months later they still check in regularly and nothing is left to chance. Their systems are outstanding: their at-home carers use an app to record a comprehensive daily account which covers medication, nutrition and any events of note, and both the client and close family members are invited to access this app. Records are always up-to-date and very comprehensive. Finally, a comment on why I contacted Crown in the first place. I live in Winchester, a couple of miles from where my father lives. I have the good fortune to have as neighbours a couple of very active nonagenarians together with several friends of my own age who have moved to Winchester to be close to their own elderly parents. As a result I had heard, from clients and children of clients, that Crown was an exceptional organisation, responsive, relentlessly diligent, and with a roster of outstanding carer-companions. My neighbours were not wrong. It is my opinion, and my brother’s, that Crown’s swift and expert engagement probably saved our father’s life last year. Crown has opened up for him a new chapter of exceptional quality of life. He is as happy, healthy and energetic as we can remember and he too is very grateful for everything that Crown has made happen.

Exceptional Care

Jodie, Tania & the team of carers have been of great help to my in-laws. From the start they have provided us with very clear guidance & advice. Crown homecare have now been coming on a daily basis for 11 months to a friend of mine , The staff are all friendly, caring & very efficient in their work, They all arrive on time & will do whatever tasks are asked of them.

Communication with office staff is great in fact the whole set up from this company is brilliant, they are easy to approach & will explain & help with any concerns you might have so I really don’t have to worry about her daily living needs now as I know she is being taken really good care of by crown which is allowing her to stay in her home.

So I can personally highly recommend crown homecare company

Our family have used Crown for 3 members of my family over many years, and experienced their support from initial 1 hour a day 'enabling' all the way through to live in 24 hour care, supplemented by a 2nd carer at times during the day.

The main reasons we continue, as a family, to use Crown are:

1. Their communications, both with the family and the person who needs care, is extremely good - and consistently good. They are reactive when asked but also proactive in commenting on potential concerns.
2. They clearly look after their staff as continuity of care from the carers involved is really important to the elderly. And the carers we see all enjoy working for Crown, which feeds into the excellent caring they provide the elderly.
3. They have been extremely flexible and responsive as caring needs for family members have changed - and their fees are reasonable!

Having had a bad set of experiences with another (large) care provider, before terminating their contract, Crown will continue to be my 'go to' care provider in the future.

Professional and supportive wrap around care

We have used Crown Care for almost 2 years, starting with a few hours a week, through to daily care and now 24hr live in care, supporting our elderly Mother with dementia . Throughout, the office team and the carers have been brilliant at communicating, quick to respond when needed and above all caring and supportive of both our Mother and our family , tailoring and building a care plan as our Mother’s needs have changed.

I always find the staff extremely helpful. The carers are of a high standard. They are willing to learn and bring to the training much of their previous experience.

I just wish to say that I am very happy with the carer provided to me. My only disappointment is to have been charged for days when no carer had to attend due to my sudden admission to hospital.

In general the care has been good. The carers are polite and caring. We are pleased that we generally have the same carers, as this helps with my husband's confusion, and the office have been helpful with our needs.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Crown - we needed to put in place 24-hour care at home care for my mother who has dementia at short notice, following the death of my father. The care staff have been brilliant, resulting in a real uplift in my mother's quality of life and the management and support staff are great at communicating with clients.

My aunt has been supported by Crown Home Care for some time now and I am extremely grateful for all they have done. Her main carer has been brilliant and my aunt enjoys her company. Her notes are always helpful and I know she is in good hands. The agency staff are great at flagging any issues and have been very helpful when we have requested any changes in my aunt's schedule, including finding a live-in carer for a couple of weeks when it was necessary. Crown Home Care has made it possible for my aunt, who is in her 90s, to stay in her own home and that has been a real bonus.

Lesley has spent all her working life caring for people, qualifying as a nurse in 1978 and a midwife in 1980. She brings her considerable and unrivalled experience, expertise and commitment to our home care clients and their loved ones.

After working for the NHS for a few years, Lesley established her first nursing and care agency in 1982. This proved so successful that it was later bought by a large corporation and Lesley became part of their senior management team.

During the 1990s Lesley helped to deliver exemplary professional care services to nursing homes and hospitals before joining another private care company in 2006 to focus on providing help and support to people in their own homes. The company began to flourish with Lesley’s management input, resulting in her becoming a director and 50/50 shareholder. Lesley and her daughter Jodie  founded Crown Home Care Ltd in 2012 to deliver their vision of providing the highest possible quality, service and value home care services to clients and their families. Crown Home Care has grown and has become a recognised provider of excellent quality care for both daily care locally and live in care across the Southeast of England.

Lesley is the consummate care professional and uses her experience, passion and commitment to influence the training and support of care workers who, in turn, deliver excellence in every client’s home.

Jodie Packham – Director Jodie is an honours graduate with over 15 years of experience gained in business and marketing in a number of sectors. Jodie has also completed her level 5 in Health and Social Care Jodie undertakes a number of key roles at Crown Home Care to ensure the wonderful work of our care team is supported by an equally successful and financially sound business model. In addition, with her background in marketing, Jodie understands the importance of delivering quality and customer service to our clients and our reputation and, therefore, helps drive these aspects of our operations. Jodie is also keen to keep Crown Home Care at the forefront of the industry and has introduced a range of contemporary initiatives. These include our state of the art paperless systems within Crown Home Care, our presence on Facebook and the use of an innovative telephone system to improve communications with our clients, their families, other healthcare professionals and our team.
